Elzbieta I. Grove


President


She was born in Krakow, Poland, the old medieval university town ,  which was the capital of Poland for centuries. One of the oldest and most famous European universities – The Jagiellonian University – was founded there in the year 1364 .
After completing a secondary school, she studied Polish and Russian literature as well as history of art at The Jagiellonian University. After graduating from the university, she worked as a teacher of history of literature and art. During that time, she was a member of Solidarity, helping to prepare an educational reform in the area of teaching literature and art.
In 1989, when a free market was allowed in Poland, Elzbieta started her own advertising business, which she ran for several years.
In 2006, during her stay in the US, she met Dr David Grove whom she married in 2009.
Since his death in 2016, she has been spending her time between the U.S., which is her permanent domicile, and Poland, where her son Pawel and his family live.
In Poland, she was involved in several publishing and cultural programs, and now The Elzbieta and David Grove Private Foundation gives her an opportunity to take part in different social, educational and cultural projects in her local community.
She greatly appreciates Mrs. Beata Buhl–Tatka’s and Mr. Maurizio J. Morello’s cooperation and feels honored and lucky to have both of them as Vice Presidents of the Foundation .

 

Beata Buhl - Tatka


Vice - President

  Beata Buhl–Tatka is the owner and president of Beata Buhl Interiors Inc. which specializes in high-end interior design and architecture.
She received a Master Degree in Architecture from Politechnika Krakowska and an Associate Degree in interior Design from the New York School of Interior Design .
Mrs. Tatka is the Chairman of the Architectural Review Board in the Town of North Castle, NY. She is also a member of the Armonk Outdoor Art Show jury.
Beata Buhl – Tatka came to the U.S. in 1987 with her husband and  3-year-old son from Krakow, Poland. Before coming to U.S., she was a member of the Polish National Volleyball Team and traveled a lot around the world with the team.
Mrs. Tatka has three children : Kuba, who is an assistant professor and orthopedic surgeon at Columbia University in NYC;  Dominika, who is a teacher at the Churchill School in NYC; and the youngest Kamilla, who is a fashion designer .
Beata Buhl–Tatka lives in Armonk , NY, but she enjoys spending time in her mountain house in Jamaica, VT .

 

Maurizio J. Morello


Vice - President Treasurer

Mr. Morello is a partner of the New York law firm Fulton Vittoria LLP. His law practice focuses on estate planning and administration of trusts, estate and private foundations.
He received a doctorate degree in law from the University of Milan, Italy, and a master’s degree in banking, corporate and finance law from Fordham University School of Law. Prior to commencing his practice of law, Mr. Morello worked for an international brokerage firm in both institutional sales and trading.
Mr. Morello is a member of the board of directors of several not-for-profit entities as well as privately-held businesses. He is a member of the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section of the American Bar Association, of the Estate and Gift Tax Section of the New York City Bar Association. He also is a member of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Morello is very active in the philanthropic world and routinely advises both organizations and individuals on major gifts.
Mr. Morello lives in Wilton, Connecticut, with his wife, three children and two dogs. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and swimming.
